Network Datacenter Technician - Onsite -W2

Duration: 12 months Contract on-site - W2 Role only

No C2C or Corp to Corp

This is a 24/7/365 position on-site in Abilene, Texas, and includes day/night shift, weekend and holiday work with occasional travel based on business requirements.

Be able to work on a shift schedule that rotates (8 to 12-hour shifts), including weekends and holidays.

Candidates should have a stronger networking background, especially in troubleshooting across Layer 2 and Layer 3.

Primary

Skills:

• Experience in Data Center Infrastructure projects, Data Center networking knowledge.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in the area of speciality and 2 to 5 year+ experience in Structured Cabling Copper/Fiber and testing of cables.
• Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
• Need candidates to have some entry-level networking skills, including OSPF, STP, TCP, UDP, and ICMP, etc. Router and switch networking configuration.
• Tests and evaluates network systems to identify and resolve issues, making improvements as needed.
• Need to know - How to run a console cable, how to identify the console port on the switch or which terminal to use to establish connectivity.
• Know the difference between OM3 and OM4 fiber types.
• Need Strong Hands-on experience with rack and stack work at a datacenter level
• Need Strong level understanding with physical connections and cable management, specialised in structured cabling or large-scale rack installations.
• Strong practical familiarity with fiber handling, labeling, or datacenter-specific best practices.
