Information Technology Help Desk Technician

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician with a strong background in networking to join our IT team. This role is primarily focused on providing first- and second-level support to end users — resolving hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues — but we need someone whose networking knowledge goes well beyond the basics. You'll be the person who can quickly tell whether an issue is a workstation problem or a network problem, troubleshoot switches, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity alongside standard desktop support, and elevate complex network issues to senior engineers with clear, accurate diagnostics already in hand.

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with classroom technology
• Deploy computers for new hires and new students
• Troubleshoot network (LAN, WiFi, and WAN) connectivity issues
• Escalate issues to appropriate technical resource
• Log, update, and resolve trouble tickets
• Assist with event setups and troubleshooting during events
• Occasional after-hours and weekend support, as needed.

• Problem solving experience.

• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Excellent communication skills
• Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field or known IT
