Parts Specialist

• Track costs associated with parts used within work orders
• Utilize and be proficient with SAP and/or related system
• Organize parts cage, eliminating unnecessary components and procuring needed items
• Maintain appropriate inventory of items used and restock supplies, as needed
• Manage the purchase orders and procurement of parts via the Maintenance Parts Procurement personnel
• Respond to requestor and supplier inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations
• Contact suppliers in order to expedite deliveries and resolve problems encountered such as shortages, missed or late deliveries
• Track status of requisitions, purchase orders, vendor service calls and receiving documents
• Maintain records of purchase orders and receiving documents to verify invoices for payment
• Maintain manuals and reference materials for use in the maintenance department
• Manage supplier performance including issue resolution such as settling damage claims, rejections, losses and return of materials or cancellations

• Technical or vocational degree in a related field is preferred and/or a combination of education and relevant experience
• 1‑3 years of related experience is required
• SAP experience is strongly preferred
• Must be proficient using computer applications, spreadsheets, e‑mail
