Join EIG Electrical Systems as an Electrical Project Manager and lead complex commercial electrical construction projects from conception through completion.
OverviewAs the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for directing the project team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This leadership role requires in‑person work in Abilene, TX and direct reporting to the Dallas, TX office.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day execution, project controls, engineering, cost, risk, and business management for assigned projects.
- Lead all project team members, including Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Field Office Coordinators.
- Mentor, develop, and train team members to support fast‑paced growth.
- Maintain 100% detailed, hands‑on knowledge of project scope.
- Control cost, billings, and collections for the assigned project.
- Act as the key point of contact with owner and architect.
- Challenge and support jobsite and self‑perform work teams.
- Account for project completion and financials, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction results.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to create and support team morale.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, project management software (Prolog or similar), accounting cost management software (CMIC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
- A strong work ethic and a “can‑do” attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of Project Management within Electrical Commercial Construction.
- Demonstrated understanding of building processes and systems.
- Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with running multiple complex, highly technical projects preferably within core markets (Data Center, Healthcare, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, Higher Education, and Commercial).
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel to and from the office as well as assigned job site(s).
