Overview

We are seeking a Project Executive to provide leadership and oversight for the strategic and day-to-day operations of Construction, Project Management, and Project Administration activities.

The Project Executive has overall responsibility for maintaining budgets, timelines, and profitability for assigned projects and assists in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures to achieve corporate goals and support the company mission.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial reporting, and workforce planning and analysis.

  • Actively manage the workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff.

  • Promote positive customer relations with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, and uphold safety, quality, customer service, and profitability in project teams.

  • Initiate, execute, and document a quality project start-up for your project(s).

  • Manage and maintain strategic partner subcontractor and vendor relationships, including timely payment verification.

  • Perform monthly project reviews with project teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality, safety, administration, and profitability.

  • Analyze available personnel and assign projects to meet needs.

  • Assist PMs and Superintendents with issue resolution and requests.

  • Manage customer relations and change order negotiations; represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and others; participate in Senior Management meetings.

  • Schedule, facilitate, and document project close-out meetings and verify project data sheets and client-approved photos for completed projects.

  • Other duties as assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • Personal integrity and the ability to foster a collaborative organization culture to maintain the firm’s reputation.

  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
    Accubid and Oracle experience is preferred.

  • Ability to follow standard operating policies and procedures, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

What You Bring to Us
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

  • PE license is a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction; knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.

  • Proven experience mentoring and managing others.

  • Business development or heavy client interaction a plus.

  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Travel
  • 10 – 25%

Working Conditions
  • General work environment is primarily on active construction sites with variability in environment; includes sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is primarily indoors with varying lighting and climate conditions.

  • Noise level ranges from low to medium; jobsite can be loud.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
