Vanguard Electric is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a minimum of three years of hands‑on low‑voltage control wiring experience on large‑scale data center projects. Reporting directly to the Project Executive, this role is responsible for leading field superintendents, foremen, administrative staff, and installers to ensure seamless, high‑quality project execution.

This is a high‑visibility, client‑facing leadership position, ideal for someone ready to step in and perform as a Project Manager from day one. As our company continues to expand, this role also offers a strong pathway toward executive‑level growth.

This position will be based on‑site at our data center project locations. As part of a growing and highly collaborative team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to major initiatives and grow into higher‑level leadership roles as the organization continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own day‑to‑day project operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and support field superintendents, foremen, and tradespeople on‑site.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain alignment and keep the project on track.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all construction phases.
  • Drive QA/QC processes to ensure high‑quality control wiring and electrical installations.
  • Oversee materials, labor, and equipment for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Address real‑time issues and implement proactive, forward‑thinking solutions.
  • Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Housing, and Safety teams to support smooth project operations.
  • Oversee material deliveries, expediting, and inventory flow.
  • Assist with tracking project financials, including change orders, billing, and budgeting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the GC/CM, Owner, and their respective representatives.
  • Establish and maintain scheduling, earned value, and labor analysis activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Evaluate project risks, maintain a risk register, and implement and monitor mitigation plans.
  • Attend monthly Project Status Review (PSR) meetings with the Regional Operations Manager and Finance.
  • Foster strong team morale and help cultivate leadership within the field workforce.
  • Support and uphold all safety initiatives, working to provide and maintain a safe, healthy workplace.
  • Promote and contribute to an Incident and Injury Free Workplace (IIFW), including participating in all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience in low‑voltage electrical or control wiring projects.
  • Strong Data Center Project Experience (highly Preferred).
  • Prior Project Manager experience is a major plus.
  • Excellent communicator with a confident, client‑facing presence.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings and technical plans.
  • Familiarity with estimating, budgeting, billing, and other project financial processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts and anticipate project needs.
  • Safety‑first mindset with knowledge of site compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with operational departments.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Texas and temporarily relocate as needed.
