• Coordinates, controls and verifies the activities related to the finished product packaging process to comply with the product requirements
• Follow up on the established maintenance programs to guarantee the proper functioning of the equipment in order to avoid breakdowns or deterioration
• Control and follow up on activities related to quality and the sanitation plan to guarantee compliance with the requirements and food safety
• Reviews production schedules to establish product data hourly.
• Oversees the training of all new employees to perform their job safely, explain expected work standards for each position and assign an experienced employee to be their mentor for at least one week.
• Notify supervisor of any safety violations as well as operational, manufacturing and/or maintenance problems to prevent operational delays and reduce downtime.
• Enforce standard operational and work practices by observing co-workers to ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards/GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Direct and coordinates the activities of assigned employees including planning and establishing work schedules and assignments during regular shift hours, changeovers, downtime, etc.
• Confer with other managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
• Support the organizations safety initiatives to ensure a safe environment for all of the facility's employees and guests
• Provide appropriate feedback to staff
