This position operates blasting equipment and an airless paint pump to blast, coat and paint large pressure vessels, tanks, other OCTG equipment and smaller parts. Responsible for adjusting and setting air pressure and equipment as required, and for mixing, using, and applying different types of industrial paints.

• Apply a variety of abrasive blasting techniques for surface preparation (abrasive blasting, sandblasting, hand/power tool).
• Apply a variety of paints and specialty coatings.
• Interact with crew members in a team environment, as well as with the supervisor.
• 2 years of experience in blasting, coating and painting in manufacturing or fabrication, or applicable industrial painting knowledge.
• Must be able to operate an airless paint pump.
• Must be able to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipment.
• Must be able to climb and complete some work on ladders.
• Vocational or technical education a plus.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, stoop, twist, reach, and work at elevated heights for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry objects up to 25 lbs frequently.
• Must be able to work outside in extreme cold or hot temperatures.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred and/or training.
