LVN, Hendrick Clinic Cardiology

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care for patients under the supervision of physicians or mid-level providers. Assist in coordinating patient care and function as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Education
    • Completion of Vocational Nursing Program or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum Work Experience
    • One-year licensed vocational nurse experience.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications
    • Current state vocational nurse license.
    • Current CPR certificate.
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and health care systems. Familiarity with regulations, policies, and documentation standards.
    • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment; understanding of basic laboratory procedures.
    • Knowledge of infectious disease management, safety standards, and infection control policies.
    • Knowledge of patient confidentiality and chart reporting.
    • Knowledge of medication and pharmacological agents used in a hospital-based clinic setting.
    • Knowledge of diseases and disease processes.
    • Ability to perform assessment and assist techniques appropriately.
    • Skill in using universal precautions, safe workplace practices, and confidentiality methods.
    • Skill in health information management and accurate charting.
    • Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and staff.
    • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
    • Ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, and staff.
    • Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
    • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and direct the work of others.
    • Ability to communicate clearly.
