Overview
Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. They effectively interact with patients and their families while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Preoperative Nurses provide safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the preoperative area for all patient populations. Due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered, RNs must be well-versed in a wide variety of health conditions. RNs also have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives, while upholding the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act

- Minimum Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Work Experience: No previous experience required
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) License; CPR-BCLS; ACLS (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Maintain a professional appearance at all times;
Ability to handle confidential information;
Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call
