• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 15, 2025 (January 5, 2026 may be considered)
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts per week (varied start times, may begin as early as 5AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Unit: Pre Op/PACU (Unit 12810)
• Open Positions: 2
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1800

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or Pre Op nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Experience with electronic charting systems (Altera preferred)
• Background in community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
• Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must pass facility drug screen upon arrival (includes Marijuana)
• No first-time travelers; local candidates not accepted (must live outside 150-mile radius)

• Deliver high-quality patient care in Pre Op and PACU settings for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients, manage pain, and respond to emergencies
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
