The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) practices in collaboration with physicians and a surgery team to deliver high‑quality, holistic, evidence‑based anesthesia in Pain Management. The CRNA cares for patients in a surgical pain management setting.
Job Duties- Reviewing medical history, evaluating patients, and determining proper methods of anesthesia.
- Accurately measuring and monitoring the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.
- Monitoring patient’s vital signs to ensure safety.
- Informing the physician if a patient becomes unstable.
- Attending to patient’s needs before, during and after surgery.
- Overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia.
- Supports patient safety when performing his or her job functions.
- Reports adverse events to appropriate management authority.
- Identified possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates to appropriate management authority.
- Additional task as assigned.
- Holds current state license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas and complies with applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Is currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer.
- Active Advanced cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- 1 year CRNA experience (preferred)
- 1 year Pain Management experience (preferred)
- NO ON CALL, NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS
- DAY SHIFT ONLY
