American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of general ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in a general ICU with a mix of surgical, medical, CVICU, and neuro ICU patients
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 36 or 48 hour schedules considered
• 1:2 patient ratio
• May be required to float to other campuses or units
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required

• Active RN license (TX or compact) in hand required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of permanent ICU experience required (new grads with travel experience do not meet this requirement)
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery care
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade administration
• Travel experience preferred but not required

• Provide critical care nursing for a diverse ICU patient population including surgical, medical, cardiovascular, and neuro cases
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with mandatory compliance
• Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting an offer
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted; must live 150 miles or more from the facility
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
