American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery role requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2-3 years of L&D experience.

• Labor and Delivery unit assignment with 13-week duration
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• May be required to float to another campus or floor
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner or Intermediate required, Advanced preferred)
• STABLE certification preferred
• 2-3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Staffing ratios maintained according to AWHONN guidelines
• Skilled in labor and delivery management including vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation/scrub, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care
• Experience with high-risk antepartum care, newborn assessment, and medication administration including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care areas
• Must reside within 150 miles of the facility
• Previous permanent staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a travel employee
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Must complete facility-administered drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing, with positive results resulting in automatic cancellation
• Must avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a documented plan for timely completion
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required
