Full-Time Retail Sales Associate
OverviewWe are currently looking for the right full-time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Associates greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and they work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide/advise on appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods as required by law.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; proficient in basic math.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants are provided with more details regarding the commission incentive plan during the interview process.
