• Provide general customer service at the front end.
• Perform tasks across multiple departments: packaging, stocking, rotation, production, and sanitation duties.
• Work flexible schedules to accommodate different department shifts.
• Assist with inventory control, stocking, replenishment, and product rotation.
• Maintain displays and fixtures.
• Work as a checker when not performing cross‑functional duties.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and applicable laws.
• Perform food safety and sanitation duties: clean/sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
• Make regular product announcements to inform customers.
• Operate and maintain all equipment properly.
• Load, unload, and move product as needed.
• Slices, packages, labels, rotates, merchandises, culls, and prices product.

• High school diploma; some H-E-B experience preferred.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to provide superior customer service.
• Strong sense of how what you do affects customers and our success.
• Initiative to step up and do what needs doing, with an eye for detail.

• Minimum age 18 (mandatory).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience in H-E-B Store operations.
• Completion of company orientation and safety training.
• Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine).
• Verbal & written communication and reading skills.
• Ability to adapt to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to lift 50 to 70 lbs as required.

Work involves standing, walking, bending, reaching (waist to overhead), lifting (up to 70 lbs), pushing/pulling with arms, and fine‑motor movements. Frequency varies by department (Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally as described in the original).
