Abilene Service – Overnight Cross Functional Rep – Full-Time

Join the H‑E‑B team as a Cross‑Functional Representative. You’ll provide outstanding customer service, rotate stock, and perform stocking, replenishment, and sanitation duties across multiple departments.

• Provide excellent customer service; answer customer questions regarding products, take orders, and assist with product selection.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
• Make regular product announcements to inform customers.
• Work a flexible schedule to accommodate shifts of different departments.
• Perform duties in multiple departments, including technical or perishable areas such as bakery, floral, market, etc.
• Perform stocking and replenishment, product returns and rotation, product selection, service support, inventory accuracy, and additional duties across the total store.
• Build, stock, and maintain displays and fixtures.
• Assist with inventory control; load, unload, and move product.
• Slices, packages, labels, rotates, merchandises, culls, and prices product.
• Gain knowledge of multiple departments; apply understanding of processes and policies.
• Comply with store and department SOPs, policies, and applicable laws.
• Work as a checker when not performing cross‑functional duties.

• Ensure compliance with departmental/store SOPs for food safety and sanitation.
• Properly operate and maintain all equipment.
• Cleans/sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.

• Bakery: Reach at waist to shoulder, stand, walk, lift up to 70 lbs, lift 50 lbs.
• Dairy / Frozen / Grocery / Market: Reach and lift up to 85 lbs.
• Deli: Reach and lift up to 65 lbs.
• Cosmetics / Drugstore / General Merchandise: Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Floral: Lift up to 45 lbs.
• Gas Station: Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Produce: Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Seafood: Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Service: Lift up to 30 lbs.
• Shelf Edge: Lift up to 65 lbs.

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in an H‑E‑B store operation.
• Completion of company orientation and safety training.
• Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine).
• Customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Verbal and written communication and reading skills.
• Ability to adapt to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments.
• Ability to work autonomously.
