Join a Winning Team! Primoris Heavy Civil is Hiring Skilled Concrete Finishers in Abilene, TX. Are you a talented concrete finisher ready to take your skills to the next level? Primoris Heavy Civil is growing—and we’re looking for a few experienced Concrete Finishers to join our dynamic team for our up-and-coming Abilene, TX project. Project has a projectile start date of February 2026.

Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete slabs, columns, curbs, and more. Must be willing to travel amongst several projects within the area and will be working in various weather conditions. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to be part of building and maintaining public infrastructure.
Qualification Standards- Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
- Level, smooth and shape freshly poured concrete.
- Finish concrete surfaces.
- Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes.
- Mold expansion joints and edges.
- Produce concrete surface.
- Mix cement.
- Direct subgrade work, mixing of concrete and setting of forms.
- Finish steps and stairways.
- Break up and repair old concrete surfaces.
- Calculate amounts of concrete required for each job.
- Picture objects from drawings and diagrams.
- Compare and see differences in size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (assistance recommended for heavier loads).
- Work extended hours on foot, including on uneven or rough surfaces.
- Climb ladders, kneel, crawl, or work at heights and in confined spaces.
