• Practice safety rules and comply with all company safety policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and report to and assist immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications and be accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
• Work well as part of a team and mobilize and demobilize equipment, including loading, unloading, securing, set up and tear down.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools, ensure proper usage and keep them maintained.
• Serve as backup to other positions at the direction of management and perform other duties as assigned.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily, seldom over 50 pounds and raise assistance for items over 50 lbs. when required.
• Grasp and manipulate various hand tools daily; stand for more than two hours at a time, twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and stooping regularly.
• Distinguish colors and use manual dexterity and fine motor skills; communicate orally and understand spoken instructions.
• Operate motorized equipment safely and perform procedures where carelessness could result in injury.
• Work in uncomfortable environments due to drafts, noise, temperature variation or similar discomforts; work on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.) and extended hours on feet.
• Proofread and check documents for accuracy, use a keyboard to enter and transform words or data.
• Comply with the company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy and be clean shaven with the ability to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.
• Pass physical examination, pre‑employment if necessary, and be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).

• Minimum 1-2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred.
