The Role
The Maintenance Technician diagnoses issues, makes repairs, ensures all resident service requests and community maintenance is completed promptly. You may receive a $500 net sign‑on bonus.
What You’ll Be Doing- Provide maintenance support for property HVA, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs.
- Ensure successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies.
- Deliver resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
- Work a rotating on‑call schedule to provide 24/7 coverage.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of at least one discipline: electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
- Ability to make repairs to resident homes to company standards within time limits.
- Quick learning ability.
- Certifications relevant to the region obtained within 9 months of employment or promotion (e.g., EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair).
- Required training courses completed within one year of hire or promotion.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with safe driving record.
Regularly use hands to manipulate tools and equipment; frequently stand, reach, climb ladders, lift up to 50–75 lbs. Sit and stand for clerical work.
Typical Work ConditionsWork performed in and outside a maintenance/machinery environment and residential properties; frequent direct interaction with residents and staff.
