About the Role
TIC is looking for a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic for an energy project located in Abilene, TX.
Responsibilities- Perform heavy equipment diesel maintenance and repair.
- Conduct field troubleshooting for Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, and Takeuchi machinery.
- Utilize diagnostic systems such as CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, and Diesel Laptop.
- Work in construction/industrial environments, handling tasks at irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and nights.
- Adhere to safety and project rules, and pass all required physical and drug/alcohol tests.
- 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic.
- Proficient with Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, and Takeuchi equipment.
- Experience with CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, and Diesel Laptop diagnostic systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 200 ft.
- Must be able to pass pre‑access drug and alcohol testing, and non‑DOT physical assessment.
- Up to 39 per hour.
- 130 per diem per day worked, if applicable.
- Standard schedule: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with potential overtime, weekends, and nights.
