Position Summary
TIC is looking for a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Journeyman for a project located in Abilene, TX.
Requirements- 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience with field troubleshooting of equipment:
Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi. - Experience with diagnostic systems: CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop.
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and non‑DOT physical test.
- Pay:
Up to $39 per hour. - Per diem: $130 per day worked (if applicable).
- Schedule:
7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday – Friday. - Additional overtime, weekends and nights may be required.
- All offers contingent on passing drug and alcohol and non‑DOT physical test.
- Must move about a construction/industrial site; able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
- Exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, holidays as required.
- May be required to use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffold to access equipment (may exceed 200 feet); must be able to climb and maintain balance.
- Move and work in confined and cluttered places, uneven surfaces.
- Must work in noisy, dusty environment.
- May be required to move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must have required tools.
- Must observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
