Under general direction, facilitate the coordination of Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and Care Coordination Team (CCT) services for children and nonoffending caregivers involved in child abuse investigations. Cultivate and strengthen professional relationships with partner agencies, review data, analyze gaps in service, and create solutions to ensure all child victims receive appropriate services.
Supervision ExercisedThe MDT Coordinator exercises no supervision over lower-level staff.
Important and Essential Duties- Review Statewide Intake Reports, determine if cases meet criteria for services, and coordinate the scheduling of these services with partner agencies.
- Analyze case tracking data, identify gaps in services, and create solutions that will ensure all children receive appropriate services.
- Provide training to MDT members to include overview of CAC model, working protocols, joint investigations, and MDT process.
- Facilitate MDT case review meetings and CCT service provision meetings, enter documentation in case tracking system, and follow-up on unresolved issues.
- Respond to community inquiries, provide awareness and prevention presentations, and manage donations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with partner agencies, organize team development activities, and engage in protocol revision as needed.
- Assist with grant applications and reporting.
- Routinely drive a personal vehicle for training, activities, and meetings locally. Drive a rental vehicle for out-of-town training and meetings.
- Provide advocacy services and respond to the Child Advocacy Center after‑hours for emergency cases as needed.
- Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers.
- Thoroughly document all work in a timely manner.
Specific Duties
- Apply for all grants and submit reports.
- Present information and participate in CAC Board meetings.
- Oversee CAC operations and staff as needed.
- Assist with site visits, accreditation process, and lead protocol revision meetings.
Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Child Advocacy Center/Multidisciplinary team model, and role of interagency partners.
- Laws and statutes related to child abuse and joint investigations.
- Grant applications and reports.
- CACTX/NCA Accreditation.
- Communicate professionally orally and in writing.
- Actively listen, analyze details, assess needs, and document accurately.
- Use Google Suite including Sheets, Docs, and Gmail and operate a standard computer and office equipment.
- Facilitate professional meetings and conduct group presentations.
- Evaluate ongoing fidelity to MDT Working Protocols.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and cultural awareness in the performance of all duties.
- Adjust to change with a positive attitude and manage significant emotional stress.
- Stay organized, manage time well, and pay attention to details.
- Complete assignments by deadlines and thoroughly document work.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external contacts.

- MDT Coordinator I – Three (3) years of social service experience is required and one (1) year of experience with a Child Advocacy Center is preferred.
- MDT Coordinator I – A Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is required.
- MDT Coordinator I – A valid Texas driver’s license, the ability to obtain one within ninety (90) days of employment is required, or a military waiver is required.
- MDT Coordinator II – Six (6) years of experience as an MDT Coordinator with a Child Advocacy Center is required.
