Interim Financial Consultant end

Interim Financial Consultant - 3 months - Abingdon with hybrid working (1-2 days per week)

We are working on behalf of a leading organisation in its sector to appoint an experienced Interim Financial Consultant on an initial 3-month contract. This assignment is offered on a day-rate basis and will support the business through a critical reporting and technical accounting period.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise under IFRS, with particular emphasis on year-end statutory reporting and complex accounting areas, including acquisition accounting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the preparation of year-end statutory accounts under IFRS
• Providing technical accounting guidance across the business
• Accounting for complex financial instruments, including Convertible Loan Notes
• Leading acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations and associated disclosures
• Accounting for Share-Based Payment arrangements, ensuring appropriate recognition, measurement and disclosure under IFRS
• Supporting audit processes and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Strengthening financial controls and ensuring robust documentation of technical positions

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with demonstrable experience operating within a complex organisation. You will have a strong track record in IFRS technical reporting, including acquisition accounting (ESSENTIAL), and ideally have had exposure to Convertible Loan Notes and Share-Based Payments. Prior experience delivering statutory accounts in a time-sensitive environment is essential.
