We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Ledger Assistant Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract, to join our team based in Abingdon (Oxfordshire).

** Responsibilities will include
*** Processing of local and foreign payments
* Allocation of cash receipts and payments against sales and purchase ledgers, including month end reconciliations and revaluations of these accounts
* Processing and controlling of fixed asset accounting and the month end reconciliations of these accounts
* Monitoring and controlling month end accruals and prepayments and ensuring complete reconciliation processes are in place
* Examine and track intercompany recharges
* Review and post credit card and travel transactions
* Prepare VAT return
* Journal entry postings
* Review and post intercompany recharges
* Assist with year end statutory financial statements
* Assist with R&D tax credits calculations and submission of claim
* Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist with cashflow forecasting
* Adhere to SOX controls compliance
