Abingdon / Culham Site (Hybrid - 3 Days On Site)
£55-65/hour Inside IR35
12-Month Contract
We're supporting a major UK nuclear and fusion programme and are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile decommissioning portfolio delivering technically complex construction and infrastructure projects.
This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK's clean energy and scientific innovation sector, supporting large-scale decommissioning and construction activities within a highly regulated environment.
You'll play a key role in commercial delivery, cost control, procurement strategy, NEC4 contract administration, and risk management across projects valued in excess of £20m.
What You'll Be Doing:- Leading QS activities across complex construction and decommissioning projects
- Preparing cost estimates, benchmarking exercises, and feasibility studies
- Supporting procurement strategy, tender preparation, and contract negotiations
- Managing NEC4 contracts including compensation events and early warnings
- Conducting payment assessments and agreeing final accounts
- Providing strategic commercial advice to minimise risk and maximise value
- Supporting risk management, reporting, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- RICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Strong NEC4 contract management experience
- Background in construction, infrastructure, nuclear, or decommissioning projects
- Experience working on projects exceeding £20m in value
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and technical reporting capability
- Hybrid Working - 3 Days Per Week On Site in Abingdon/Culham
- 12-Month Initial Contract
- £50-56/hour Inside IR35
- Start ASAP / Late June 2026
