Study Programme Lead - Plumbing
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plumbing Course Leader to take ownership of our plumbing programmes. The role involves leading the planning, delivery, assessment and quality assurance of the curriculum, whilst supporting students throughout their academic journey.
Salary: £44,558 – £49,294 per annum
Hours per week: 37
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day
Location: Abingdon Campus
Contract type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage plumbing course planning, delivery, and assessment
- Monitor and support student progress across full study programmes
- Conduct tutorials, academic reviews, and performance management meetings
- Coordinate internal verification and ensure assignment quality
- Maintain accurate course data and student records
- Support work experience and industry placements
- Contribute to enrolment, induction, and advisory boards
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one)
- Experience teaching plumbing or related subjects
- Strong organisational, administrative, and pastoral skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to learner success
- Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy (or willingness to gain)
- BTEC Lead Internal Verifier experience
- Post-16 teaching experience
- Level 2 IT qualification (or willingness to gain)
- Experience working with employers and industry partners
