Teaching Assistant – Part-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils across various subjects
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
Support pupils with literacy and numeracy development
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Help create a stimulating and safe classroom environment
Liaise with teaching staff and SENCO to ensure consistent support
Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils

Ideal Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience supporting children in a secondary school setting
Strong understanding of strategies for supporting diverse learning needs
Ability to use initiative and work independently when required
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
