Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing advanced technology business in Abingdon. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll help improve the performance, reliability and integration of complex technical systems.

• Work across mechanical, electrical, control and software teams
• Get hands‑on with equipment, test rigs and complex systems
• Investigate faults, solve problems and drive improvements
• Create clear technical documentation that actually gets used

This is a brilliant role for a methodical, curious engineer who likes technical depth, practical problem‑solving and seeing their work make a real impact.

Our client would love to hear from you if you have strong experience with complex instruments, equipment or systems involving areas such as:

• Mechanics
• Electronics
• Motion systems
• Control systems
• Software‑linked equipment
• Advanced test, measurement or process tools

You don’t need to tick every box. Experience with systems engineering, motion control or project methods would be useful, but transferable experience is

very welcome.

A degree in Physics, Engineering or similar would be great, but equivalent experience through an apprenticeship or hands‑on technical career path is just as valued.
