Applications Engineer

We Require x2 Applications Engineers - ONE is a Senior.

You’re playing a key role in making sure our products meet (and exceed) customer expectations. You’re acting as the voice of the customer internally, feeding insights into Engineering and R&D, while leading application projects that improve performance and user experience. This is a highly hands‑on role with ~50% international travel, working directly with customers and end‑users on‑site.

• Leading customer demos, characterisation work, and technical evaluations
• Presenting results clearly to both customers and internal teams
• Acting as the go‑to contact for application‑related support queries
• Troubleshooting complex, multi‑disciplinary issues across mechanics, optics, electronics, software, and algorithms
• Collaborating with Engineering and R&D to feed back customer insights
• Driving application projects to improve product performance and user experience
• Supporting and maintaining application lab facilities and equipment

• Working in the semiconductor industry with a strong hands‑on focus
• Leading or supporting characterisation and demonstration activities for metrology equipment
• Supporting customers in a technical or applications‑focused role
• Diagnosing complex technical issues across multiple disciplines
• Communicating technical concepts clearly, both written and verbal

• Experience with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
• Exposure to optical systems (lasers, fibres), electronics, or electro‑mechanical systems
• Understanding of semiconductor processes
• Experience with scanning electron microscopes (SEM)
• Any involvement in product marketing or customer‑facing technical storytelling

Either a Master’s degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant experience.
