We are the Magnet Systems Partner for the UK Government's STEP Fusion programme, under a £70million contract running to 2029, working with UK Fusion Energy to deliver HTS magnet systems for the STEP prototype power plant, while also contributing to tokamak systems and plasma integration.

Fusion - Fusion energy technologies, expertise and testbeds for government and private fusion programmes, including ST40, the world's highest field spherical tokamak.

TE Magnetics - HTS systems for commercial applications including fusion energy, power distribution, life sciences, and propulsion.

Ridgway Machines - Manufacturing equipment for the superconducting, electrical and wider energy sectors, enabling the rapid industrialisation of HTS products.

Join us to help enable Tokamak Energy's ambitious strategy to bring clean energy through fusion and develop related business applications to position the company as a leader in sustainable energy. Tokamak Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take ownership of our electrical safety governance and authorisation framework across a diverse and technically advanced site. This role will report directly into the engineering leadership and will sit at the heart of Tokamak Energy's operations, providing authoritative and independent guidance on low and high voltage safety, enabling safe, reliable delivery of our experimental and industrial programme.

The successful candidate will maintain, and audit the application of, the company's Low Voltage Electrical Safety Policy, and safe systems of work, as well as advising on statutory compliance. They will also assess and approve the appointment of personnel authorised to carry out electrical work, lead electrical incident investigation, and advise the company leadership team and directors as the technical authority for matters of electrical safety.

The successful candidate will also contribute to development of high-voltage safety policy and practice.
