Interim Group Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to oversee the year-end reporting and audit process for a UK-listed organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the development of the wider finance team.

Duties will include:

• Leading the Group's financial year-end process, ensuring accurate consolidation and timely completion of reporting requirements.

• Managing the external audit, working closely with auditors, senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee.

• Overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial statements and the Group's annual report.

• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, statutory reporting obligations and UK-listed company regulations.

• Reviewing complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, impairment and acquisition accounting.

• Supporting cash flow assessments, financial forecasts, tax provisions and banking covenant reporting.

• Coordinating subsidiary statutory accounts and contributing to financial announcements.

• Coaching and developing the finance team, strengthening reporting processes and improving year-end procedures.

• Identifying opportunities to enhance financial controls, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with at least five years' group reporting experience and a strong background in a small cap UK-listed businesses. Extensive IFRS knowledge, consolidation expertise and previous responsibility for year-end audits and annual reports are essential. You will be a confident communicator with excellent technical skills, advanced Excel knowledge and proven leadership capabilities. Experience with in Technology, SaaS or international organisations would be advantageous.
