The Role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in the delivery, support and continuous improvement of secure enterprise-scale systems. Working within Agile and Dev Ops teams, you'll be responsible for maintaining operational platforms, resolving technical issues and contributing to the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
This role offers exposure to a broad technology stack and the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled engineers on complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities Support and maintain secure operational infrastructure and environments. Perform system administration, maintenance and backup activities. Investigate and resolve infrastructure, application and network-related issues. Contribute to the installation, configuration and ongoing improvement of systems. Assist with infrastructure design, implementation and technical problem-solving. Translate customer and project requirements into practical technical solutions. Work closely with engineering and project teams to support successful delivery.
Essential Experience Active eDV clearance. Experience working within Agile, Scrum or Dev Ops delivery environments. Background supporting complex software-intensive or infrastructure-focused programmes. Strong Linux administration and deployment experience. Understanding of enterprise server, storage and desktop technologies. Experience working across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery and customer acceptance. Ability to take ownership of technical deliverables and work effectively with wider project teams.
Desirable Skills
Experience with any of the following technologies would be advantageous:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) / CentOS Windows Server and Active Directory VMware vSphere / ESXi Terraform and Ansible Docker and Kubernetes AWS or Azure Elasticsearch / Kibana MongoDB Apache Kafka Helm Concourse CI/CD Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Networking and infrastructure monitoring TOGAF or MODAF architecture frameworks Enterprise-scale web applications and services What's on Offer Work on genuinely mission-critical National Security programmes.
