, we are developing advanced nanometrology systems used by some of the world’s most innovative semiconductor companies. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Stock & Logistics Controller to join our Supply Chain and Operations team.

This is a hands‑on role combining inventory control, store coordination and international logistics. You’ll be responsible for ensuring materials, components and finished systems move efficiently through the business while maintaining exceptional stock accuracy and supporting the successful delivery of our products worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing Managing Inventory & Stock Accuracy

You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records across the business by:

  • Maintaining stock records within our ERP system
  • Processing receipts, issues, transfers, returns and stock adjustments
  • Monitoring stock levels and investigating discrepancies
  • Performing cycle counts and supporting company stocktakes
  • Producing stock accuracy and inventory performance reports
  • Identifying opportunities to improve inventory management processes
Coordinating Logistics & International Shipments

Working with suppliers, freight partners and internal teams, you’ll:

  • Coordinate UK and international shipments
  • Arrange couriers, freight forwarders and specialist transport providers
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and packing lists
  • Track deliveries and proactively resolve shipment issues

    Support import and export activities
  • Ensure high‑value and sensitive equipment is packaged and transported safely
Supporting Stores & Operations

You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to:

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of materials and finished systems
  • Manage supplier returns, customer returns and replacement items
  • Maintain an organised, safe and efficient stores environment
  • Resolve material availability and delivery issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across stores, stock control and logistics processes
What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from people who are organised, proactive and take pride in getting the details right. You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience in stock control, inventory management, stores or logistics within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment
  • Confidence with processing inventory transactions and maintaining accurate stock records
  • Adept with coordinating UK and international shipments
  • Good understanding of shipping documentation and logistics processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confidence investigating discrepancies and resolving operational issues
  • A practical, collaborative and solutions‑focused approach
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
  • Working within a semiconductor, scientific instrumentation, electronics or advanced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures, customs requirements and Incoterms
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and specialist transport providers
  • Understanding of quality processes, supplier returns and non-conformance procedures
  • Experience improving inventory processes, stores operations or ERP systems
  • Forklift, manual handling or other relevant operational certifications

Location and work pattern

All of our new UK team members are asked to work on site here at Abingdon during their first three months with us. We offer flexible, hybrid working where possible upon completion of probation.
