MOT Tester

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading automotive group based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, for the position of MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced MOT Tester seeking to advance their career within a reputable organisation.

Duties as a MOT Tester will include:

Conduct all aspects of MOT testing in accordance with government standards to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Support customers through the MOT process, providing updates and advice on required work and reasons for test failures
Diagnose and carry out associated vehicle repairs and servicing when applicable
Maintain accurate records of testing and service activities
Liaise effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow within the workshop
Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times

Requirements:

Possession of an active Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licence
Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
Relevant qualifications such as IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred, or extensive hands-on experience in vehicle mechanics with a valid MOT licence
Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and customer service focus
Ability to work flexibly within the established working hours, with willingness to cover occasional Saturday shifts
