TIG Welder

Location:

Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Salary: £32,000 - £37,385 per annum

Shifts:

Early or late shift, Monday to Friday

Hours:

37 hours per week

Are you an experienced TIG Welder looking for your next opportunity with a specialist engineering and manufacturing business?

We're recruiting for a skilled TIG Welder to join an established manufacturing operation in Abingdon, working on high-quality engineered metal products. What's on offer?

Salary of £32,000 - £37,385, depending on experience

Early or late shift, Monday to Friday

37 hours per week

25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays

Overtime paid at 1.5x during the week

Weekend overtime paid at 2x

The Role

As a TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality welds and ensuring components are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards.

Your duties will include:

Carrying out TIG welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Preparing materials and components ready for welding.

Maintaining high standards of weld quality, accuracy and finish.

Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets required standards.

Working closely with colleagues across the manufacturing and fabrication teams.

Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in TIG welding within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

An understanding of welding procedures and quality standards.

A reliable, team-focused approach with the ability to work independently when required.

Experience working with stainless steel, precision fabrication or high-integrity welded components would be advantageous.
