£40,404 - £42,328per annum

Our client is looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified Mechanical Quality Inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply, through policing in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and 'hands on' approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR's & development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and further development/improvement of the system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Inspecting, confirming and authorising in-coming materials and returns from Outsources

* Approving In-Process production and validating 'First-Off measurements

* Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001

* Documenting all inspection results on compan

Vs internal systems

* Raising and investigating NCR's with implementation of corrective/preventive measures

* Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review

* Liaison with customers and suppliers including conducting audits where required.

* Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production

Mechanical Quality Inspector Ideal Candidate Will:

* Mechanical background working within manufacturing

* Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM

* Be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection

* Familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment

* Be able to interpret engineering drawings

* Be continuous improvement focused, supporting production improvement initiatives

* You will have good communication skills both internally and to outside ‘agencies’ by telephone/email

Working Hours + Benefits:

* 37 hour weeks

* Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 Friday 08:00 – 13:00

* Opportunity for overtime, weekend, and shift work (paid at a premium)
