Days and times we would like you to be available to work:
- Sun: 05:30 – 14:15 - Mon: 05:30 – 12:00 - Sat: 05:30 – 14:15 We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you at least three weeks’ notice of exact shift dates. If your availability matches closely, but not exactly, we are happy to consider you.
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week to new colleagues. If you prefer fewer hours (a minimum of 12), we also have opportunities for this.

It takes lots of different people to run a store and this is a job for doers, with plenty of variety. It is a committed role, full of everyday challenges, but that is one of the things that makes it so exciting.
Responsibilities- Help to serve shoppers better every day.
- Meet great people, learn new things and be part of a specialist, diverse team where everyone is welcome.
- Work across the store in our service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Put into practice the training received, so we all work safely, effectively and serve our customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet the needs of customers at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand the store’s performance, work with colleagues to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
- The ability to build rapport with customers, ensuring they leave the store having experienced a great shopping trip.
- The initiative to make decisions that are right for our customers.
- Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
- Be on time to work, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
