Security Porter; nights

Radley College is looking for a calm, reliable and professional Security Porter to join our night team, helping to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our College community.

Working across our campus, your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out regular security patrols of College buildings and grounds.
• Monitoring CCTV, alarms and security systems, responding promptly to any concerns.
• Managing access to the site, including dealing professionally with visitors, contractors and deliveries.
• Responding to incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action and escalating concerns when necessary.
• Identifying and reporting security, safety or maintenance issues.
• Providing a helpful and professional point of contact for pupils, staff and visitors during the night.
• Maintaining accurate logs and records and ensuring important information is handed over to colleagues.

You’ll need to be confident working independently, able to remain calm under pressure and have a friendly but appropriately firm approach. A full driving licence and current SIA licence are essential, and previous experience in security or a similar customer-facing environment would be an advantage.

We have three night-shift patterns available: 7pm–3am, 9pm–5am and 11pm–7am, working 197 days per year (excluding your own holiday entitlement).

If you’re dependable, observant and committed to providing excellent service while helping to keep Radley College safe and secure, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date for applications is 12 noon, Wednesday 21 October and we reserve the right to review applications as they are received.
