Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Critical Care Pulmonology (BC)
- Valid Virginia State Medical License
- Board Certification in Pulmonology
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DEA license for practice in Virginia
- Proven experience in intensive care units, managing ventilated respiratory patients
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems
- Ability to perform procedures such as bronchoscopy
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts effectively, including weekends and holidays
Skills:
- Experience working with respiratory support devices and advanced pulmonary procedures
- Prior experience in academic or large hospital settings
- Knowledge of hospital operations and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Multilingual abilities are a plus but not required
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of prior ICU and critical care pulmonology experience
- Active license in Virginia and familiarity with VA healthcare regulations
- Successful completion of vaccination protocols including Flu, MMR, Varicella (or positive titers), and recent TB testing
- Epic electronic medical records experience within the past year
- Credentialing process completion within 60 days
- No licensing restrictions; licensure in Virginia required
- All travel costs (airfare, hotel, rental car) are billable
- Salary: $312.00 per hour, with additional pay for overtime and holidays at $600/hour
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week
