Required Skills:

• Board Certification in Critical Care Pulmonology (BC)
• Valid Virginia State Medical License
• Board Certification in Pulmonology
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• DEA license for practice in Virginia
• Proven experience in intensive care units, managing ventilated respiratory patients
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems
• Ability to perform procedures such as bronchoscopy
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts effectively, including weekends and holidays

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience working with respiratory support devices and advanced pulmonary procedures
• Prior experience in academic or large hospital settings
• Knowledge of hospital operations and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Multilingual abilities are a plus but not required

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of prior ICU and critical care pulmonology experience
• Active license in Virginia and familiarity with VA healthcare regulations

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of vaccination protocols including Flu, MMR, Varicella (or positive titers), and recent TB testing
• Epic electronic medical records experience within the past year
• Credentialing process completion within 60 days
• No licensing restrictions; licensure in Virginia required
• All travel costs (airfare, hotel, rental car) are billable
• Salary: $312.00 per hour, with additional pay for overtime and holidays at $600/hour
• Shift Details: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week
