Critical Care Pulmonology Physician Join our renowned healthcare facility as a Critical Care Pulmonology Physician and play a vital role in delivering specialized critical care to patients with complex pulmonary needs. This dynamic opportunity offers comprehensive exposure to high-acuity cases within a dedicated ICU setting, where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and advance clinical excellence. In this role, you will provide critical care services in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting a multidisciplinary team including registered nurses, residents, and respiratory therapists.

Your responsibilities will encompass managing a diverse patient population aged 18 to 100, performing advanced procedures such as bronchoscopies, and utilizing state-of-the-art equipment like ION. The position entails 12-hour shifts, seven days a week, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, ensuring continuous, high-quality care delivery.

Required Skills:

Board Certification in Critical Care Pulmonology (BC) Valid VA State Medical License DEA Certification for VA BLS and ACLS certifications Proficiency with Epic EMR system Expertise in pulmonary critical care procedures, including bronchoscopies Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with pulmonary rounding in ICU settings Additional certifications in Advanced Pulmonary Interventions Familiarity with electronic documentation and billing systems Previous experience working in high-acuity environments Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years experience in critical care pulmonology, preferably in ICU settings Current board certification in Critical Care Pulmonology Extensive experience with ventilator management and pulmonary procedures Other Requirements:
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week Vaccinations required:
Flu, MMR, Varicella (2 doses or positive titers), TB testing within the past year Ability to obtain VA state medical license and DEA credentialing within 60 days Epic EMR experience within the past year All travel costs (airfare, hotel, rental cars, mileage) are billable
