r to work out of the Corporate Center in Abingdon, VA. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth commercial appraisal reviews and findings, as well as working directly with loan officers to engage appraisers on a daily basis. The ideal candidate for this role is a self- starter, organized individual that understands the importance of keeping processes sharp. This person should have the ability to multi-task and provide above average communication skills through phone and email.

Prior appraising knowledge and experience is not required but is highly desirable for this position.

Supports bank management and loan officers by providing appraisal reviews and related appraisal functions.

• Assist credit administration department by conducting in-depth commercial appraisal reviews and prepares reports of findings.
• Provide approval of appraisers to do work for the Bank and maintains a list of approved appraisers.
• Confirm the approved appraisers license and E & O insurance are current.
• Recommend the bank’ services and products to the public.
• Assist the credit administration department with the preparation of selected real estate related reports.

• High school diploma or equivalent - required
• Associates degree - Accounting, Business and/or Finance - preferred
• Three or more years of banking or appraisal experience - preferred
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Working knowledge of how appraisals are prepared and the logic necessary to achieve a reasonable conclusion.
