- Directly manage the operations for admitting, registration, and financial services departments at acute care locations, ensuring accurate MRN assignment, compliance checks, patient instructions, insurance collection, and transaction processing.
- Develop and manage departmental staffing needs, prepare monthly reports, and establish goals with staff to optimize performance, improve operations, increase customer satisfaction, and meet financial targets.
- Collect, interpret, and communicate performance data using various tools and systems, and use this data to make decisions on achieving performance goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers and ancillary departments to maintain positive relations and achieve revenue cycle goals.
- Assist in the development of dyad‑reporting patient access staff and provide training, education, goal‑setting, and performance interventions as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification
- Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in Healthcare Management/Administration
- Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in the healthcare industry.
- Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance or call center preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
- Technical competence to collaborate with the IT department and support departmental technology needs.
