Food Service Utility; Part Time

Location and Hours

Johnston Memorial Hospital – 16000 Johnston Memorial Drive, Abingdon, VA 24211. Part‑time schedule: days may vary, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, rotating weekends and holidays. Applications accepted online only.

Fixed pay rate: $13.00 per hour.

Maintain kitchen work areas and keep equipment and utensils clean and orderly.

• Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table and front‑of‑house set‑up.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Prior food service experience preferred.
