American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with Level II Trauma experience and proficiency in a wide range of surgical specialties for a Level II Trauma Center.

• Operating Room unit with approximately 19 rooms averaging about 50 cases per day
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of one weekend every 6 weeks
• On-call is optional
• Holiday coverage is optional
• No floating required
• Epic charting system used

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• General OR experience required
• Laparoscopic-assisted case experience required
• Experience scrubbing total joints, neuro, hybrid vascular, and robotic cases required
• Experience across multiple specialties required based on unit needs, including general surgery, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, urology, vascular, thoracic, ENT, endoscopy, and trauma procedures
• Experience with code response, fire safety, latex allergy precautions, and malignant hyperthermia protocols required
• Experience with blood and blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol/time-out procedures, urinary catheterization, and wound management required
• Electrosurgical unit experience required
• Fiber-optic light source and cord experience required

• Preferred experience includes ortho, urology, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, neuro and neuro spine, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and transplant cases
• Cell saver, Hana Table, and Steris equipment experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided
• This position is eligible for auto offer, with managers reviewing and confirming within 48 hours
• First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience
• All time off requests must be submitted at time of application, as RTO after submission will not be accepted
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• PA fingerprints are required and must be completed within one week of signing, which may involve travel over 100 miles
