Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative

As a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative with the Department of Corrections, you step into a role that brings energy and purpose to every workday. This position supports the statewide promotion and sale of Correctional Industries products and services by building strong customer relationships and providing reliable information. As a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Outreach:Meet with officials to promote products and gather information about their needs
• Product Knowledge: Visit Correctional Industries shops to stay familiar with product lines and services
• Sales Support:Prepare orders, price quotes, reports and marketing materials for customers
• Record Management:Maintain customer records and prepare weekly activity reports
• Issue Resolution:Follow up on customer concerns, inquiries and account activity

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• This position requires daily travel.
• When necessary to report to the office, the selected applicant will be assigned to report to the nearest State Correctional Institution (SCI) with availability.
• Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

• One year of professional sales experience in a manufacturing or service oriented production operation, and a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or a closely related area;
  or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

• You must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following counties:
  Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, or Wyoming,
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
