Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Correctly mount, dismount, balance, and repair passenger and light truck tires.Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.Perform and document vehicle safety inspections.Diagnose and repair vehicles independently, including maintenance, brakes, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups using automotive tools, equipment, and software (e.g., VAST, Automotive PC programs).Produce accurate repair estimates for customer vehicles.Collaborate with store management to meet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards.Adhere to safety and environmental standards, maintaining a clean work area and proper waste disposal.Communicate clearly with customers and sales staff about repairs and their value.Follow internal controls, policies, and procedures.Perform other responsibilities as needed.Requirements:
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.A technical degree is a plus.Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.Valid Driver’s License is required.Skills/Knowledge:
Customer service focus in a retail environment.Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.Basic conflict resolution skills.Solid understanding of the automotive tire and service industry.Basic understanding of VAST and automotive PC programs.Basic math skills for accurate repair estimates.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Team player.Benefits:
