Job Summary
Join the Staff Pharmacist role at Curexa Pharmacy
. This position requires a pharmacist licensed in New Jersey who will ensure accurate prescription dispensing, patient counseling, compliance with Curexa policies and state/federal regulations, and supervision of pharmacy personnel.
- Pharmacist‑in‑Charge reports to the President & CEO or Director of Operations.
- Pharmacist & Compounding Pharmacist report to the Pharmacist‑in‑Charge and Director of Operations.
- Oversees:
Compounding Lab Manager, Compounding Lab Supervisor/HDDP, Operations Manager, Patient Care Coordinator Supervisor, Compounding Care Coordinator Supervisor, Patient Care Coordinators/Compounding Care Coordinators/Compounding Lab/Fulfillment Technicians, Patient Care Manager, Patient Care Representative, Shipping Specialist, Shipping Packaging Specialist, Delivery Driver.
- Accurately fulfill and dispense prescription orders, monitoring drug interactions and allergies.
- Manage dispensary procedures, support personnel, and inventory control.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and resolve complaints professionally.
- Support the goals, policies, and SOPs of the pharmacy and supervise support personnel for compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information.
- Operate ethically and in compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation regulations, including USP 795, USP 800, 503(a) guidelines, and NJ State Board of Pharmacy rules.
- Pre‑check and final check of prescriptions, counsel patients on drug usage, interactions, storage, and side effects.
- Provide drug usage guides, maintain patient profiles, and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Supervise and train pharmacy support personnel, providing feedback and re‑training as needed.
- Ensure proper inventory management: ordering, receiving, return, and label control; maintain pseudo ephedrine logs and Pseudo ephedrine inventory records.
- Perform safety checks for opening/closing, alarm systems, and lock protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and support teamwork with sales and operations teams.
- Assist in strategic analysis to improve profitability, growth, and efficiency of the pharmacy.
- Complete annual competency, training, and PRS compliance modules.
- Education: BS or Pharm
D from an accredited institution; pharmacist license issued by New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy (and any other required state). - Experience: Minimum of 3‑5 years in retail, independent, or clinical pharmacy settings; completed a state‑approved internship or equivalent professional practice experience; NAPLEX and MJPE passed; proof of character and criminal history background check.
- Licenses: Actively licensed and in good standing; maintain continuing education credits and fees; license displayed in pharmacy and carried if working secondary locations; criminal background check, Medicare background check, and a drug test required.
- Skills & Abilities: Stress management; multitasking; strong organizational skills; computer proficiency—including pharmacy software and third‑party billing; exceptional customer service and communication; ability to translate technical information to non‑technical personnel; quality, safety, and infection control standards; problem‑solving and research; basic pharmacy mathematics; physical ability for lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Language: English (written and spoken);
Spanish a plus. - Physical &
Working Conditions:
Climate‑controlled retail environment, 8‑10 hour days; full use of hands, arms, eyes, voice; flexibility to cover other pharmacists' duties.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.; walking, standing, bending, turning, reaching, grasping; full use of hands, arms, eyes, and voice.
- Fast‑paced retail setting with moderate noise; climate‑controlled; requires flexibility for vacation, personal, and sick days coverage.
- Rate: $60.00 per hour.
