Job Overview
Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem at Curexa Pharmacy
. Responsible for accurate dispensing, patient counseling, supervising pharmacy personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting business growth.
- Accurately fill prescription orders and monitor drug interactions and allergies.
- Supervise and support pharmacy support personnel, ensuring tasks are completed timely and within scope.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, storage and disposal.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform inventory control, ordering, and management of controlled substances.
- Ensure compliance with NJ State Board of Pharmacy, USP 795, USP 800, and federal laws.
- Handle customer complaints, refer unresolved issues to Operations Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and fulfill safety protocols.
- Perform annual competency, training, and PRS compliance modules.
- Support business growth through cooperation with sales and operations teams.
- BS or Pharm
D from an accredited university/college of Pharmacy. - Fully licensed pharmacist in good standing in the domicile state (and any additional states required).
- Completed an approved internship program and passed NAPLEX and state proficiency testing (MJPE).
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience in retail, independent, or clinical pharmacy (preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain quality and safety standards.
- Computer proficiency with willingness to learn specific pharmacy‑based software and knowledge of third‑party billing.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand, walk, reach, and perform routine pharmacy duties.
- English language proficiency;
Spanish knowledge is a plus.
Rate of pay: $60.00 per hour. Benefits include 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental, PTO & PPTO.
