Job Overview

First Student is a family of over 60,000 employees transporting more than 5 million students and passengers daily. We are hiring Part‑Time School Bus Drivers in Absecon, NJ. No experience as a bus driver is required – we provide paid CDL training.

Responsibilities
  • Pick up students before school and drop them after school in a split shift (early morning before‑school pickup and after‑school drop‑off).
  • Work a guaranteed 4‑hour shift per school day; no night or weekend work unless you want to.
  • Additional hours through trips and charters when available.
Benefits
  • Pay range $28.25–$29.25/hr.

Qualifications
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Looking for a part‑time schedule and enjoy working with students.
Preferred Background
  • No college degree or high school diploma.
  • Military experience.
  • Returning to workforce or second job.
  • Retiree.
  • Jump‑start a new career.
